On 31 January 2018 during an interview with Janet Albrechtsen some comments were made about Kevin Rudd and the ABC’s revelations following the leak to it of cabinet documents. Kevin Rudd’s statement asserts that the documents uncovered by the ABC had been tendered to the Royal Commission into the Home Insulation Program, which made no adverse finding against Mr Rudd. 2GB and Janet Albrechtsen accept that finding and apologise unreservedly to Mr Rudd for any hurt caused to him by the interview.
