Bringing your faithful hound or belligerent cat with you on public transport could soon be a reality, with the NSW Animal Justice Party pushing to allow furry friends onto our buses and trains.

The Animal Justice Party wants Labor to consider implementing a trial for pets on public transport, with MP Emma Hurst saying Sydney is falling behind in animal friendliness compared to London and Melbourne.

“We need to make this state far more animal friendly. We’re falling behind the rest of the world. You know, London and Melbourne have laws that allow animals on public transport”, Hurst told James Willis.
