Liberal MP Angus Taylor believes that energy prices were not going to rise up under a Liberal government.

The Australian Energy Regulator announced yesterday that prices are surging up to 18.3 per cent.

Mr Taylor told Deborah Knight last week on the program, that energy prices would stay stagnant.

The former Energy Minister told Deborah Knight he didn’t know the details of what the prices would be moving forward.

Angus Taylor: “Prices have been coming down.”

Deborah Knight: “Well they’re not coming down now!”
