Article image for Angus Taylor & Bill Shorten face off over NDIS and prescriptions

Minister for Government Services Bill Shorten and Shadow Treasurer Angus Taylor engage in a heated but constructive discussion in their first joint appearance on ‘Question Time’ with Deborah Knight.

During the conversation, Mr Shorten emphasised the importance of the NDIS in supporting people with disabilities, while suggesting improvements to better serve them. Mr Taylor expressed his concerns about the management of the program stating “There are some real questions about how this policy’s been implemented.”

They also clashed over their views on the 60-day prescription program with Mr Shorten defending the proposed reform, whilst Mr Taylor doubted whether the changes would actually deliver the claimed benefits.
