Iconic Australian interviewer Andrew Denton is encouraging NSW politicians to vote in favour of assisted dying legislation.

NSW is the only state in the country that is yet to legalise assisted dying.

Go Gentle Australia founder Andrew Denton told Ray Hadley he watched his father suffer through his final moments.

“This is not about pain, even though pain can be part of it … it’s about suffering, it’s about the loss of the life and any hope of the life that is valuable to you.”
