Andrew Bolt calls his involvement in cabinet files chaos a joke

Article image for Andrew Bolt calls his involvement in cabinet files chaos a joke

‘The Cabinet Files’ drama continues as ASIO officials stormed ABC offices at 1am this morning.

Documents obtained by the ABC implicate Andrew Bolt, alleging the Abbott government consulted him about changing the 18C restrictions on free speech.

He joins Chris Smith to comment on the chaos.

“It’s so funny that you have a government that is threatening new laws because of this huge security implication.

“Meanwhile, out the backdoor they’re sending two cabinets worth of secret documents because someone couldn’t be arsed trying to unlock a locked cabinet.”

On his alleged involvement, Mr Bolt says it’s a joke.

“This whole thing, it’s so funny.”

He tells Chris his involvement was nothing more than a conversation over lunch.
