The Energy Market Operator has issued an amber alert for NSW.

The power grid is under pressure after demand surged by 10% yesterday.

This means the energy regulator can ask big power users to lower their use.

Matt Kean originally said “We’re not ruling things in or out regarding the future of Eraring”, but later said “The Government is not considering an extension of Eraring”.

“So the only person ‘open’ to the idea of investing in it, is Chris Minns”.
