Albanese: ‘Internal fighting has spread to the National Party’
Labor frontbencher Anthony Albanese tells Michael McLaren yesterday’s cabinet reshuffle shows tension in the National Party.
“What we saw yesterday with the reshuffle is the internal fighting has gone from the Liberal Party to the National Party with the complete dumping of the bloke I used to shadow Darren Chester.”
Mr Albanese, who is the Shadow Minister for Transport & Infrastructure, says the government should focus on urban planning to reduce clutter in capital cities.
“We’re sleepwalking towards chaos. We have enormous pressure on our capital cities and yet we have other areas that are crying out for an increase in population.
“The Government needs to ensure jobs are created in regional centres so we take pressure off capital cities.”
