Alan Jones hits out at the ‘moral sermon’ being handed to Barnaby Joyce

Alan Jones has hit out at the “moral sermon” being delivered to Barnaby Joyce following last night’s Sunday Night interview with partner Vikki Campion.

The member for New England lost his job as Deputy PM and has had his reputation dragged through the mud after it was discovered he cheated on his wife with a staffer.

The couple now have a baby together and have been heavily criticised for giving the exclusive television interview.

Alan is standing up for Mr Joyce, saying the criticism saying there is no scandal.

“I couldn’t help but feel how much we’ve returned to the dark ages.

“A man falling in love with a woman would be a scandal if it weren’t for the fact that it does happen every day.

“A marriage breaking up and one partner falling in love with another is, sadly, nothing new. It’s sad, it’s hard to manage, but it’s not new.”

Alan also hit out at Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull and his “sickening” dressing-down of his one-time right-hand man.

‘”If I was given the choice between an adulterer and a backstabber, I’d choose the adulterer every time.”
