ACCC taking Optus to court over NBN disaster

When it comes to the disaster that’s been the NBN, whose fault is it?

The ACCC has now taken federal court proceedings against Optus saying it misled customers about the need to move quickly from its existing cable network to the National Broadband Network.

CEO of Australian Communications Consumer Action Network (ACCAN) Teresa Corbin joins Ross Greenwood to shed light on why this has come to pass.

“This was actually very confusing for consumers because Optus made a different arrangement with the government for the transition to NBN services that were on their cable networks than what every other provider had in place.

“If you’re experiencing problems, escalate them to the service provider.

“If you’re still not happy, go to the telecommunications industry ombudsman.”
