Ben Fordham is calling on the ABC to take responsibility over a claim Australian soldiers killed an Afghan prisoner.

A letter requesting an apology and a correction has been sent to the national broadcaster on behalf of ‘November Platoon’ in response to an article published in October last year.

The article was based on an account from an unnamed US Marine who alleged November Platoon executed a prisoner in Afghanistan in 2012.

Former November Platoon members have told Ben the claims are a lie.

“The ABC can’t keep running from this,” Ben said.

“I can’t begin to tell you the trauma this has caused the diggers involved.”
