Ben Fordham has weighed in on the ABC being forced into an embarrassing confession over its one-sided coverage of Alice Springs.

A previous news report on the ABC “was filled with fake news”.

It suggested a town hall meeting in Alice was filled with racists.

“We called it out immediately and the consequences have been significant,” Ben said.

Since, the online radio report on AM has been edited and the broadcaster’s new independent Ombudsman has pinged them on two breaches of editorial standards.

“This should never have made it to air, forget about edits and clarifications, the story was filled with fake news by a reporter who had an agenda, the entire story should be deleted from the public record.”
