‘A real disaster’: NSW teachers have had enough

Mark Levy

Minister for Education, Prue Car, is committed to bringing more teachers back into schools, after seeing resignations in record numbers.

Last year, nearly 2,000 public school teachers walked away from the job, which is double the amount of teachers that left in 2020.

“The previous government just denied, even though everyone knew there was a critical shortage of teachers,” Minister Car told Mark Levy.

“We are going to be scrapping the wages cap and negotiating for better pay and conditions.”
