Charlotte and Joe Capaldi are a father-daughter duo making a difference to the lives of sick children.
Charlotte and Madison Capaldi were born in 2004 three months premature.
They both had a rare disease which unfortunately took Madison’s life two months after she was born.
Madison’s family has made sure she has lived on in the Madison Capaldi Research Fund.
The foundation raises money for research into diseases and illnesses which affect premature babies.
Half a million dollars has been raised so far.
Joe Capaldi, tells Ben Fordham how he’s planning to raise more money for the fund this year.
“I’ve always wanted to do the Kokoda track. I thought…I might as well try and raise money at the same time. This year we’re trying to raise $70,000.
“Everyone’s welcome.”
If you want to get involved and join the trek, the Madison Capaldi Research Fund is holding an information evening tonight from 7pm at the Pappardelle Ristorante in Haberfield.
