The Australian dollar is hovering around 81 US cents, the highest it’s been in more than six months.

Six months ago CBA Chief Currency Strategist Richard Grace said the Australian dollar could reach levels of even 85 US cents this year.

He speaks with Ross Greenwood about what is driving this stronger dollar.

“Australia is feeling the benefits of a stronger world economy.

“We think this is just a political tailwind that is driving a weaker US dollar.”
