2GB Drive host James Willis raised concerns over the compatibility of the new Western Sydney Airport Metro line, after an anonymous listener working within the transport department alerted him to the issue.

The anonymous source claims the new line’s trains and electrical systems are incompatible with Sydney existing metro network, questioning why the infrastructure wasn’t designed to connect.

“It seems bizarre and dumb and a very very typical Australian bureaucratic problem,” Willis said.
