Restaurateur Chris Lucas has spoken about the challenges facing Australian business, saying he has never seen a greater disconnect between government and business.

Lucas said business suffered a significant decline following the federal budget, describing the current situation as the worst he’s seen since the 1990 recession.

“I’ve never seen a disconnect between government and business as I have in the last few years,” Lucas said.
