The RBA has hiked the interest rate to the highest in 15 years, to 4.6 per cent.

Scott Phillips from The Motley Fool has told Michael McLaren that the decision to raise the interest rate was supported unanimously.

“This will take the average variable rate certainly over 6 per cent,” he said.
