Mark Geyer and Adam Hawse have butted heads over an idea to bring the AFL’s wildcard round to the NRL next year.

The legendary NRL player says the AFL has done well by introducing the round; however, Sports Today host Adam Hawse says they got lucky with the teams.

“It’s a top 10, let’s be honest. It’s a top 10. It’s an extra week of finals. If you want to keep fans engaged, why don’t you make it a top 16?,” he questioned.
