Michael McLaren has called an initiative by the Inner West Council regarding parking impractical after they decided to limit the number of parking spaces in new apartment builds.

The chief executive officer at Urban Taskforce Tom Forrest has told Michael McLaren while the council has done the hard work of building new homes, this new plan is a “social engineering exercise”.

“A lot of people just can’t get through their day without a car … it’s fine if you work in the CBD of Sydney,” he said.
