‘Handled it well’ – What the suspension of five Sydney Swans players means for the club
The Sydney Swans football club have been commended for their handling of the five footballers caught up in an alleged sexual assault.
The Age reporter Sam McClure has told Adam Hawse and Josh Morris that the league is happy with how the club has handled it.
“If Sydney now, in the unlikely scenario, were to make a grand final, we don’t have the potential story hanging over the footy club, hanging over the rest of the league,” he said.
All involved have denied any wrongdoing, and Nick Blakey has maintained he has not been spoken to by Victoria Police.
