Wentworth MP Zali Steggall has told Michael McLaren a freedom of information request she made in regards to the sale of various defence sites had been rejected.

She claims Defence determined there were only two relevant documents, but denied access to both.

“There’s two points that I can draw from this: due diligence does not appear to have occurred in relation to this site, and then there’s no transparency around the real basis on which they are divesting these unique sites from public ownership,” she said.
