‘Inconsistent’ – The fight breaking out over your super
Michael McLaren has noted that a scuffle appears to be breaking out over compulsory superannuation, as more political figures back allowing Australians to access their super before retirement.
The Afternoons host says that while he supports the system, he has pointed out that, while there is merit in the argument for and against allowing it, the system as a whole is inconsistent and back-heavy.
“The more we, as individuals, can stand on our own two feet and rely less on the State for things, the better … it needs to be more flexible and to reflect the reality of the world in which it operates,” he said.
