Dolphins co-captain Tom Gilbert has fired back at the Broncos after they claimed Brisbane was theirs.

His comments come as the team surpassed their membership record and a sold-out derby.

“Obviously, [it] shows how much of an important game it is, not just for us but for Rugby League fans,” he told Adam Hawse on Sports Today.

“We’re trying to make a bit of history here with how our season’s going,” he added.
