Clinton Maynard has been left furious after it was revealed during a cost-of-living crisis that Australia’s federal politicians spent thousands of taxpayers’ money to fly their family members to watch them in action during the week of the Budget.

He says they do not understand what the everyday Australian is experiencing.

“They’re so out of touch they might as well be on Mars,” he said.

“This is a failure to read the room …. they just don’t care,” he added.
