EXCLUSIVE: David Elliott addresses dirt-file and affair allegations as ICAC inquiry continues
The ICAC inquiry into the Liberal Party’s alleged dealings with disgraced property developer Jean Nassif has taken another turn after details emerged of a dirt-file on then-Liberal MP David Elliott, including an attempt to frame him in an affair.
He’s told Clinton Maynard he’s never had an affair, and he knew he was being tailed by a private investigator.
“She’s got plenty of things to throw rocks at me about, but not that,” he said.
“This is not a shock to Nicole and I; we’ve known for years this was coming. I’m just glad that this is finally out in the open,” he said.
He says he raised these issues with his party, including then-Premier Dominic Perrottet.
“I told him the reason why [I wasn’t contesting Castle Hill],” he said.
