Clinton Maynard has weighed in on the Point Piper mansion dinner, with the latest development coming from a former senator calling on the PM to open his books.

He also points out that political donations aren’t coming from the goodness of people’s hearts; it’s for influence.

“We’re supposedly a free democracy where we elect politicians to represent the interests of everyday people,” he said.
