‘Clueless and ignorant’ – Why Michael McLaren is worried about Australia’s youth
Michael McLaren has been left questioning the ignorance of the youth after a group of pro-Palestine voters gathered outside the Labor Party conference in Adelaide on Thursday.
It follows another protest from last week regarding Pine Gap in the Northern Territory and the involvement of the US Government.
“Call me a cynic, but I suspect for many there, the motivation was a lot more about simply shutting the place down than it was about empowering local Aboriginal groups to regain sovereignty over a patch of land,” he said.
“If Australia were to be invaded, do you really think the incoming force would give two hoots about concepts like Native Title, land rights, MABO, sacred sites and traditional custodianship?” he added.
