Energy Minister Chris Bowen has been taken to task by Shadow Energy Minister Dan Tehan after it was revealed taxpayers paid over $3000 for an influencer to promote the controversial Snowy Hydro 2.0.

He’s pointed out the project is already over budget.

“Blow-out Bowen needs to have a serious look at this and say to Snowy Hydro, ‘Put all your efforts into actually delivering the project’,” he told Lucy Zelić, filling in for Clinton Maynard.

“Chris Bowen is completely out of touch,” he added.
