Clinton Mayard has been left baffled by what he witnessed at a public housing protest in Waterloo over the weekend.

Public housing residents set to be moved into other housing have protested against the planned demolition of public housing units.

“Guess what some of them were carrying at this protest yesterday. Palestinian flags. Seriously, it’s a demonstration about the destruction of slums in Sydney, and they’re waving Palestinian flags,” he said.
