Michael McLaren has unpacked how a former state Country Liberal Party’s decision to balance their books will force Australia to face some hard truths about China.

The Chinese company that the port had been leased to is now seeking legal action thanks to the federal government’s decision to take the port back.

The Afternoons host says it won’t be an easy task for the Albanese government to prove their case against a company for which they have no evidence of wrongdoing.

Almost a decade on, sober minds are warning these decisions could become a noose around our economic neck that could be tightened at any given moment,” he said.
