The Papua New Guinea Chiefs could be close to signing their first major signing after Tigers co-captain Jerome Luai was spotted in Papua New Guinea.

NRL legend Josh Morris has told Adam Hawse it would be a big coup.

“A four-time premiership-winning half-back, if they get him, well then that opens the door,” he said.
