Michael McLaren has called on Australians to re-emphasise their commitment to the structures and infrastructure that set the groundwork for those who served for Australia.

He’s also hoped the day will remind those in power to reconsider the sale of Victoria Barracks.

“We not only [would] be committing a serious strategic mistake, but we’d be saying to the young people that their history doesn’t really matter, that their national heritage doesn’t really matter,” he said.
