‘Bring down fellow Australians’ – Zelić slams inspector-general over Roberts-Smith prosecution
Lucy Zelić has said that Anzac Day celebration’s may not feel the same this year, as service men and women react to Ben Roberts-Smith being arrested and subsequently bailed this afternoon.
Giving a powerful addresses to 2GB listeners, Zelić slammed the inspector-general in charge of the prosecution of this case against Roberts-Smith as having more concern for foreign entities, rather than their troops on home soil.
“There was more of an appetite to bring down fellow Australians than there was to pursue justice for the families who lost these men in battle” Zelić said.
Appearing on Sydney Now, Nine News reporter, Tiffany Genders, spoke with Roberts-Smith with parents, asking if he would be appearing in an Anzac Day march, of which they declined to comment .
The former SAS soldier now must comply with strict bail conditions, and a trial date has not been set.
