A former soldier has slammed the Australian Government for not going after those who have murdered Australian soldiers.

In a letter, read out by Clinton Maynard, the former soldier criticised the government for sending money to Taliban-run Afghanistan as well as failing to bring rogue Afghan soldier Hekmatullah to justice.

“They’re the words of somebody I’ve known for 25 years who was in Afghanistan when three of his colleagues were shot dead by this Afghan, who was then just allowed to go,” he said.
