Louise Clegg has told 2GB Afternoons host Michael McLaren she’s a “hardcore country girl”, revealing her involvement in the Voice to Parliament referendum and why she was opposed to it.

“We don’t have a long tradition of successful referenda in this country. So it was the model that triggered me … The model they came up with was, to me, breathtakingly radical with a whole new chapter in the Constitution,” she said.
