There are reports accused Porepunkah police killer Dezi Freeman was armed with a gun he allegedly stole from police seven months ago at a stand-off against Victoria Police earlier today near Victoria’s border with New South Wales, before he was shot dead.

Nine News reporter Gillian Lantouris says members of Victoria Police had been at the property near Walwa for a few days before the Special Operations Group surrounded the container at 5:30 this morning.

“They were able to ram the container with the Bearcat, getting him to come outside where he was just wrapped in a blanket,” she told Clinton Maynard.
