Labor to halve fuel excise
Labor has confirmed they will halve the fuel excise for three months following a National Cabinet meeting.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, speaking at a press conference, confirmed the heavy vehicle road user charge will be cut completely for three months, as well.
The move by the Federal Government is part of a three-point national plan to address Australia’s fuel crisis.
The measure, which had not been previously considered by the Federal government, means motorists will save 26.3 cents per litre.
