The Prime Minister has responded to a 2GB caller from his electorate who rang into Mornings with Mark Levy after Nationals MP Alison Penfold raised it during Question Time.

The Albanese government has ruled out a cut to the fuel excise, saying there are other measures being implemented, prompting Clinton Maynard to point out nothing has been done for everyday Australians.

“Something is clearly not working,” he said.

He also noted the government has told Australians there is more fuel available than there was before the US-Iran conflict started, but over 100 petrol stations are saying they have no fuel or diesel, leaving the Sydney Now host to question if people are being lied to.
