Michael McLaren has called out legacy media, claiming organisations far older than him have allowed society to flounder “in a sea of fiction” during the US-Iran conflict.

The 2GB Afternoons host says traditional media has an obligation to stop following the US democrats by placing blame on Donald Trump, and focus on reporting the news as more people get their news from social media sites full of fake news and disinformation.

“When the traditional media operate like this … is it any wonder people have turned to alternate sources for their quote unquote news?” he said.
