Iconic musician and Midnight Oil drummer Rob Hirst has tragically died at the age of 70.

A founding member, he was diagnosed with stage 3 pancreatic cancer in 2023.

Entertainment reporter Peter Ford has called Hirst a “fighter”

“He was still creating music up until November of last year. He brought out an EP, I just checked is on Spotify, and it’s worth listening to,” he told Clinton Maynard.
