Liberal Senator James Paterson has slammed the massive $1.6 million taxpayer bill to fund a new Greens partyroom in Parliament House.

Paterson argues that nearly doubling the original cost is an example of the Greens’ “policy hypocrisy,” demanding to know why the party that constantly preaches financial restraint is willing to incur such a lavish and unnecessary expense.
