David Elliott has criticised the legal system for granting former MP Daryl Maguire bail after he was sentenced to 10 months in jail for lying to ICAC.

Elliott said it’s “hard to fathom” that a person with no remorse, who was found guilty of lying to a corruption inquiry, could be released on bail for “good character”.
