‘No frontline cuts’ – Transport boss vows services safe amid job axes
The transport boss says no frontline roles will be cut from the state’s rail network in a major department restructure.
An internal memo has confirmed around 950 jobs will be slashed over the next six months as part of cost-cutting measures.
Transport secretary Josh Murray has told Clinton Maynard it’s part of a move towards a more frontline-focused organisation.
