Michael McLaren has slammed Premier Chris Minns’ explanation for why electricity needs to be “slowed down” this afternoon as temperatures rise.

The heat is expected again to put an extra load on the electricity network this afternoon and evening and the Premier is asking for Aussies to turn off unnecessary electrical appliances.

“I am not convinced with any of this,” Michael exclaimed.
