Chris O’Keefe says an ambassador would need to navigate the waters under a Trump presidency more diplomatically as many believe Australia would need to find a new ambassador if Trump is elected next week.

His comments come after an interview in which Trump suggested current Ambassador Kevin Rudd would not last long in the role.
