The Bureau of Meteorology has lost its illegal sacking case but Chris O’Keefe says a complaint from an anonymous staff member regarding the bureau’s reluctance to comment on climate change is what struck him most.

He points out the Bureau’s job is to provide trusted, reliable and responsive data.

“A company commentary about the impact of climate change or otherwise is not in that remit, no?” he said.
