‘Preventable crashes’ – NSW Police Assistant Commissioner discusses road deaths

Luke Grant

NSW Police Assistant Commissioner, Brett McFadden, joins Luke Grant to discuss the recent upsurge in road-related deaths and the responsibility of drivers.

“I think what we’re seeing on the roads is really a reflection of what we’re seeing in society. We are in a hurry. We are impatient, we’re intolerant”, McFadden said.

“We lack respect…. It’s all about me, nobody else gets a consideration. So when we see that behavior as a controller of a vehicle, the consequences that flow can be catastrophic”.
