HSU’s plea to give emergency workers homes close to work

Ray Hadley

HSU secretary Gerard Hayes has told Ray Hadley that the current system is not “sustainable” for young people working far from home in emergency services.

This plea comes as the HSU persists in urging the Minns government to take further action, advocating for an increase in density near the new metro train station. The argument suggests that such a move would enable thousands of additional workers to secure a better situation.
