The conflict in the Middle East has escalated this week, and now it seems the years of violence and unrest have made their way to Sydney.

Pro-Palestine protestors rallied in Sydney last night, with anti-Semitic chanting and the burning of Israeli flags making broadcasts and news across Australia. Former ambassador to Israel Dave Sharma has criticised the protestors and pondered how we could be seeing these scenes in New South Wales.

“Anti-Semitic, intolerant, hateful. Is this New South Wales or is this some place else?”, the former member for Wentworth told Deborah Knight.
